margot wiburd - minimalist australian still life and dog artist

Fine Art Animal Portraiture

Before taking on a commission, I will one or more detailed jpeg photographs of your dog as a reference, the bigger the size and the more detailed, the better. If your gorgeous pet is still alive, it is best to take a photograph at your pet's eye level (that is, either elevate your pet or get down to his/her level) and in daylight, so that the eyes are beautifully visible. A digital camera will generally give a sharper, more detailed result than a cell phone. I know this is not always possible, so just send me your best image/images. After studying these, I will make some suggestions, and we can discuss the options from there.

Allow up to eight weeks for the completition of an oil portrait of a single pet, and two to three weeks to complete a pastel painting (plus delivery time). I will work to a shorter deadline if required, but prefer to have extra time to deliberate over the work and get it just right. The finest quality artist materials will be used.

Payment:
I will confirm your price by email prior to commencement. (A payment plan can also be organised for larger works). Prior to payment, I will send you a photograph of the completed painting.

Delivery:
Commissions in the Peel Region and within 100 km of Perth and Mandurah will be delivered without charge. Interstate and international delivery will be quoted once the medium and size of the artwork has been decided.

Framing:
Framing can be ordered for an additional charge, through my local (excellent) Mandurah framer. For international commissions, I prefer to send a work unframed due to the risk of damage from accidental glass breakage.

To inquire about a commission, please email me with your own contact details and I will be in touch with you soonest:
